Everyone loves to boogie with their babies and toddlers at BLD but it’s also good to have a grown-up’s night out now and again – which is where Haven’t Stopped Dancing Yet! ( www.haventstoppeddancingyet.co.uk) comes in.

It’s a 70s and 80s soul, funk and disco night  “for people who remember the tunes first time round the still want to party”.

It was started by mum- of- two, Nikki Spencer, who still wanted to be able to strut her funky stuff – but without feeling like she was gatecrashing one of her teenage daughter’s get togethers.

As the name suggests, the nights – which have won plaudits from Time Out, BBC London and Radio 4’s Saturday Live – are all about dancing. They kick off with choreographer- led routines to get everybody into the groove and the DJs play non-stop floorfillers. If you fancy dressing up there are prizes for the best outfits, with free Love Hearts and Curly Wurlys and ice pops too.Events regularly sell out so advance booking is strongly recommended, especially if you want to bring a crowd.

HSDY nights currently take place in the ultimate retro venue – a church hall in Hither Green in South London – but there are plans to spread further afield, so check out the website for the latest news. The HSDY crew are is also available for significant birthday parties & corporate events.
