Go to the cinema with your kids! I took Elizabeth and Olivia to see Mama Mia at the Odeon last week and they loved it. Odeon Cinemas in the Print Works and the Trafford Centre have ODEON Kids screenings chosen especially for children and are every Saturday and Sunday mornings and most school holidays at pocket money prices and also for the babies they have ODEON Newbies which encourages parents to bring their babies along to screenings which are held weekday morning

Jay our Manchester DJ is one of my best friends and I thought it would be nice if you knew a little bit more about him! Jay has been DJ’ing for over 20 yrs playing over the years in Manchester, Liverpool, Wirral,  Manchester, Cheshire and Bulgaria. He now enjoys being part of Frisky Crew working with DJ’s such as Anton Powers (Juice Fm) Dave Graham and Ste Cocky (Radio City) Big Brothers Mickey Dalton and  Ibiza legend Alex P. Pixie is a gem of a shop in Didsbury, which has gorgeous clothes, beautiful products that you and your children will cherish, and that will conjure up memories through the associations they have with pregnancy and early childhood. They also know that clothing should be able to stand the test of time and quality and durability are very important to us. They have put together a collection of clothes that are quirky and original, with lots of personality. There is also the fabulous Pixie Maternity shop in West Didsbury so if your thinking of having another bundle of joy and want to look gorgeous take a look!

Jiggling, wiggling, swaying, swinging, rattling, clapping are just some of the words to describe the classes at Rhythm and Rhyme. The aim of rhythm and rhyme is to develop the skills of very young children through the use of music, songs and movement to do so with just a little bit of sparkle! Classes available in Manchester, Lancaster and Preston.

Café Muse situated in the Manchester Museum and is a different slant on the original Danish theme. The café, which is non-smoking throughout, is the perfect environment for children and has a special menu that combines exciting and tasty food with a healthy and nutritious diet. Kro2 on Oxford Road welcomes families at the weekend for Sunday Lunch and regularly have offers such as kids eat free with a parents Sunday Lunch – check their website for current offers.

The Children's University of Manchester presents an excellent opportunity for The University of Manchester to share, with the wider community, and particularly primary schools, the excitement of the knowledge created through its pioneering research activities and teaching and learning practices. Resources include online interactive learning materials for use on whiteboards or PCs; video clips which will bring the University to your desktop; downloadable resources and educational games. Content will be aligned with, and complement existing Key Stage 2 web-based learning resources.

Stockley Farm is a place I have visited many times with my children and playgroup its has lots of things to do including:- Lamb Feeding - Animal Shed - Adventure Play Area - Farmer's Den - Soft Play Area - Toy Tractors Picnic Areas - Farm Trail - Ponds - Train Rides - Billy Brush Paint Pottery - Birds of Prey -Tea Room – They also have an Organic Box Scheme delivery service! They even open up around Christmas with a Santa’s grotto and Nativity set in the barn where children can dress up – very cute!
